Here are the Neiman Marcus/Bergdorf Goodman exclusives for 2008. The exciting part of the collection is Jay Strongwater has finally designed a powder compact, in addition to his classic solid perfumes.
Jay Strongwater's Butterfly Dream powder compact:
This is the Crystal Sea compact:
This is called Sea Of Pearls:
Here we have the Jeweled Lattice Compact:
The solid perfumes look pretty darn good this year:
Here are the Dancing Bears:
This is Jay Strongwater's contribution called Passementerie Bow:
Here is the Fantasy Fish:
And here is the Nesting Doll:
There are 3-4 more compacts expected in the next couple of months at NM/BG, and I'm trying to get advance photos for you. As always, you can find the details at the Neiman Marcus and Bergdorf Goodman sites online.
It's that time of year again - the department stores are now receiving the 2008 powder and solid perfume compacts from Estee Lauder. So far, Nordstrom and Neiman Marcus have their exclusives up on their sites, but Saks and Estee Lauder do not. I suspect they will be there within a week or so.
Here are the Nordstom exclusive powder compacts (none shown yet for solid perfumes). The first one is the Tropical Palms Compact:
This one is called the Wild Poppy Compact:
This one is called Crystal Flowers:
I'll be back later with the Neiman Marcus/Bergdorf Goodman exclusives.
Here are some of the more unique Estee Lauder compacts that I have run across recently. One I've never even seen before, and the others you don't see very often. The first one is the most unique, with an unknown (to me) name, but for now I'll call it Palm Tree Paradise:
This one is a Kathrine Baumann of Beverly Hills collaboration with Estee Lauder called Evening Luxe:
You see the sister compact (China Blue) to this one quite a bit, but this beauty is called Chinese Love Knot:
This is not quite as rare as the ones above, but you also don't see it very often - Fleur Flottante:
Some of these Estee Lauder Valentine's Day powder compact candidates have been posted on this blog before, but I'm going to round them up again for this post. Here is the All Heart Powder Compact:
Here is the Must Be Love Compact:
And, the two versions of the With Love compact:
This one is a bit different for Valentine's Day, but it is gorgeous - the Untamed Heart Compact from 1998:
And what Valentine's Day would be complete without some fantastic red compacts - even if they aren't heart shaped! This is one of my all time favorites - the Opulent Rose Compact:
Here is a Kathrine Baumann & Estee Lauder collaboration called the Red Hot Compact:
There are many other Estee Lauder Lucidity Powder Compacts that are appropriate for Valentine's Day gifts, even if they aren't heart shaped or red in color. Please visit the link below and browse!
Here are some of the beautiful Spring 2008 solid perfumes and powder compacts from Estee Lauder. You can find these currently at Saks Fifth Ave and Neiman Marcus (as of 01/15/08):
As promised, these compacts are now in my own collection, and not on my website. First, the Sparkling Jewel Powder Compact:
I've been a bit remiss with this blog for the last couple of months, but I'll make it up to you soon! Here are three Kathrine Baumann & Estee Lauder collaborations which have recently come my way. All of these were originally sold in the Estee Lauder Las Vegas shop. The first one is the Red Hot Compact:
Next week I will show you pictures of the 2 powder and 1 solid perfume compacts from the 2007 holiday collection that I bought for my personal collection.
